Our Mission: A True Creative Space
We believe that creativity thrives on connection and generosity. Our mission is to build a trusted digital magazine that honors those values. It’s a space grounded in collaboration, not commerce, where the only currency is the quality of the work and the willingness to share.
ABOUT feeling creative?
The Story of this Site: Our Digital “Barn-Find”
You might have noticed our domain name, Feeling-Creations.com. It has a story.
In the early 2010s, this address was home to a beloved digital art blog that provided
free resources like Photoshop brushes and textures to a thriving community of artists.
Over the years, the site went dark, but its legacy lived on in thousands of links from the very creators it once helped.
Finding this domain was like discovering a classic “barn-find” car. It was a piece of history, covered in a decade of dust, just waiting to be discovered, given a new purpose and roar back to life.
In the modern internet where building connections (and backlinks) have become a monetized, spammy mess, we wanted to honor this domain's original spirit. We're reviving it not as a business, but as a community, a creative space, a place you come to for inspiration, to learn, to share your work, and to connect with other creatives.
Once we dusted off Feeling-Creations, we realized how many other incredible creative communities have simply vanished from the web. We didn't want those legacies to disappear into a 404 error page.
So, we’ve started acquiring other "defunct" creative domains to give their visitors a new home here. We aren't affiliated with the original owners (like Random House or others)—we’re just keeping the lights on for the community.
Saved Domains:
BloggingForBooks.org: Formerly a hub for book reviewers, now redirected to our Writers page.
HarvestWriters.com: Formerly a resource for spiritual writers and outlining techniques, now redirected to our Writers page.
CoffeeAndCreativityBlog.com: A defunct blog for creative entrepreneurs and caffeine lovers, now redirected to our Coffee and Creativity page.
TattooArtists.org: Up until around 2018, it was an online community for tattoo art, featuring over 180,000 tattoo pictures and 7,000 tattoo artists, now redirected to our Feeling Inked page.
ArtistArchive.com: A searchable online reference database and catalog for fine art prints and etchings, used by collectors and historians to verify details like dimensions and reference numbers for works by masters like Rembrandt. Now it points to our Art page.
and we’re always looking to add more to the list!
About the Founder
Hi, I'm Mike, the founder and editor of FEELING CREATIVE?.
For me, creativity has always been a part of life. My father was an advertising creative director for many years, so I grew up surrounded by storyboards, photography and commercial shoots. From a young age, I was fascinated by the power of a single image or a well-told story, investing my time in photography, movies, and music.
That passion led me to my career as a professional cinematographer, producer, editor and the owner of Absolute Motion, an award-winning video production company based in New York. For over 25 years, I’ve helped brands and businesses tell their stories through video and TV commercials.
Finding a genuine community outside of social media is tough. I wanted to change that. This blog is a resource for sharing what you've learned and connecting with other passionate people. It's a place for real creativity and, best of all, a network where you're actually encouraged to promote and link to your amazing work. If you’d like to read more…my story about this site was featured on The Good Men Project.
