  • A: It’s a blog where “guests” are invited to submit articles to be published on the site. In our case, we invite people from any creative space to write articles and/or share their work.scription text goes here

  • A: "Feeling Creative?" is a digital magazine, and community hub for artists, writers, and professionals from any creative space. Our mission is to be a trusted, spam-free platform for creatives to connect, collaborate, promote, be inspired, and grow. You can read our full story on our About page.

  • A: Yes, it is 100% free for both readers and contributors. Our mission is to build a community grounded in collaboration, not commerce. We do not have popup ads, and we will never sell your data. We just ask that you help spread the word and invite your creative friends. We’re trying to grow this place into something cool. The more we grow, the more it’ll benefit everyone involved.

  • A: No, it’s costing money actually. The site is funded 100% “out of pocket”; it is not monetized, with no ads or data being sold. The goal is to eventually be able to attract paying sponsors to the site, but we have to grow a bit more before that can happen…however, the site will never be overrun by ads, links or unrelated spammy content.

  • A: "Feeling Creative?" was founded by Mike Meyerson, an award-winning video producer and the owner of Absolute Motion. He started this project to create a genuine, high-quality space for creatives to network and share their work.

  • A: At our launch we had enough content to post 3 times per week (Mon/Wed/Fri), and the goal is to keep on that schedule.

  • A: It goes out every-other Tuesday and contains links to the articles from the previous 2 weeks as well as any site news, plus a random inspirational or creative quote. It’s a great way to stay in the loop, please sign up!

Contributing to the Blog

  • A: We welcome contributions from all types of creatives, whether you're a seasoned professional, a passionate hobbyist, or just starting your journey. We feature work from artists, designers, filmmakers, photographers, musicians, writers, performing artists, designers and more.

  • A: We have two main ways to contribute: In-Depth Articles and a "Creator Spotlight." Our core rules are that all content must be high-quality and provide real value to our community. You can read the complete guidelines on our Contribute page.

  • A: In return for your valuable contribution, you will receive a dedicated author bio at the end of your post. This includes a dofollow link to your personal portfolio or website, which is a powerful way to build your own site's authority and SEO, plus links to all your social media profiles. We will also share your article on our social media pages as well.

  • A: Because we know that SEO (search engine optimization) is a critical part of marketing for artists and marketing for creatives, and we want to provide real, tangible value to our contributors. A dofollow link is a powerful "vote of confidence" from our high-authority site to yours, which helps your personal site rank higher on Google. We are obsessed with building a clean, authoritative, spam-free site. We're not a "link farm" like some blogs; we're building a high-quality platform, and we want to share that with our creative community.

  • A: Yes, you can! We believe you should always own your own work. We just ask that you wait 2 weeks after its first published here, so that Google recognizes us as the "original" source. When you do re-post, we ask that you add a simple line at the top or bottom that says, "This article was originally published on Feeling Creative?" with a link back to the original article here. This is the best SEO practice for both of our sites. We also ask that you share your articles original link (to here) on your social media pages, which can be done at any time.

  • A: Our platform is for human artists and writers to share their personal creative perspectives. We do not accept articles that are 100% generated by AI. However, we understand that AI is a powerful tool. If you use AI as a "collaborative partner" to help with outlines, research, or to get a "head start", that's perfectly fine, we get it. We just ask that the final article is in your unique voice and represents your personal story and expertise.

  • A: We are a small, passionate team, not a giant corporation, so we ask for your patience. We review every submission manually. We will typically get back to you quickly with a "yes," "no," or some suggestions. Once your article is approved, we will schedule it for the next available content slot, which maybe a few weeks depending on how much content we have at the time.

Sponsorship and Community

  • A: Yes, we are building a "Founding Partner" program for a select few brands and organizations that share our values. We're looking for partners from related creative niches, like camera companies, art supply stores, design software brands, or equipment manufacturers.
