Ukrainian Artist Tanbelia on Wavy Impressionism and Painting Nature
Artist Spotlight: Tanbelia
My art focuses on nature, reproduced through a continuous wavy line. The idea is to immerse the observer in the natural world through the prism of water, using a style I call wavy impressionism. These wavy strokes naturally create a psychedelic effect.
My goal is to encourage people to protect and cherish our environment. With my artwork, I try to show humanity's deep connection to the earth and remind us to preserve it.
I find inspiration in the outdoors. I love the look of bales of hay, sunflowers, or open buckwheat fields. The world is most unique when the sunshine highlights the local flora and fauna. For me, this manifests most impressively during sunrises and sunsets.
Creating Through the Blackouts
I am currently living and working in Ukraine. During the war, I paint every day, adapting to the harsh conditions and frequent blackouts.
It is difficult to work with the theme of war in my creativity, so I choose a different path. I am inspired to create visual art that benefits the world and radiates positive energy.
